2014 NAIOP CHICAGO AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Sixteen outstanding developments, transactions and special category awards presented
CHICAGO (November 25, 2014) – Sixteen winners were announced LIVE during the 27th annual NAIOP Chicago Awards for Excellence on November 19 at Chicago’s Navy Pier. The winning developments, transactions and companies represent the best of the best in commercial real estate. See list and descriptions of 2014 winners
“NAIOP Chicago is pleased to recognize the past year’s successes in Chicago’s commercial real estate industry. The finalists and award winners should be congratulated for the great drive and commitment that they have exhibited to achieve their firms’ accomplishments,“ said Grady Hamilton, Trammell Crow Company, and President of NAIOP Chicago.
Jack McKinney, President and Founder, J.F. McKinney + Associates, was also honored as the 2014 Award for Excellence winner. NAIOP’s Award for Excellence, recognizes professionalism and integrity; leadership; service to the community and to NAIOP; and, longevity and success in the commercial real estate industry. The award is conferred at the Chapter’s discretion. The award has been presented six times in the last ten years. See list of previous winners
“I am very flattered and appreciative to receive this remarkable recognition from NAIOP; especially given the cadre of prior recipients who are real estate legends in our industry. NAIOP has made great strides within the Chicago commercial real estate arena to establish the highest standards of conduct, professionalism and collaboration among its impressive membership,” said Mr. McKinney.
Over 1,300 industry professionals attended the premier awards event, now in its 27th year. A total of 100 nominations were received in 15 categories based on criteria ranging from design and functionality to economic success.
“All of the nominated projects, transactions, and teams represent the best in our industry, so it’s an honor to be recognized by our peers with an award,” said Dan McCarthy, JLL, and a member of the team who won Broker Transaction of the Year – Suburban Office for Zebra Technologies Corp in Lincolnshire.
A jury of industry leaders reviewed the submissions to determine the finalists and audience members voted LIVE for the winners. The event included cocktails, dinner, and the awards program. Proceeds from the Awards event support NAIOP Chicago’s outreach efforts.
