Now in its 14th year, this program pairs Developing Leaders with experienced, highly regarded professionals who are committed to sharing their insights, guidance, and expertise. Mentors provide real-world perspectives, career advice, and valuable introductions, giving participants an opportunity to take their NAIOP membership one step further and build targeted, meaningful relationships within the CRE community.
Eligibility
To participate in the Developing Leader Mentorship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a NAIOP Chicago Developing Leader Member (age 35 or under)

Have a minimum of two years of real estate industry experience

Past program participants are eligible to reapply
Program Guidelines
Mentors and mentees selected for the program will commit to the following:

Complete at least four one-on-one meetings over the course of program

Meetings may be virtual or in-person

Participants are encouraged to discuss goals and expectations during their first meeting to ensure a productive partnership

- Participants will also be invited to take part in special mentorship program gatherings throughout the year, including:

Mentorship Kick-Off Event

Informal Mid-Year Get-Togethers

Mentorship Closing Event

These events offer additional networking, learning, and peer connection opportunities with fellow Developing Leaders and program mentors.
