Two Chicago Developing Leaders Honored with National Award
NAIOP national has selected 15 young professionals to receive its prestigious 2015 Developing Leaders Award including two members from Chicago, James Love, Founder and Managing Partner, Distribution Realty Group LLC, and Christine Choi Moore, Leasing Manager, John Hancock Real Estate.
The annual award honors up-and-coming professionals under the age of 35 for their exemplary professional accomplishments, strong leadership and community involvement. The award will be presented at NAIOP’s Commercial Real Estate Conference 2015, October 13-15 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
James Love founded Distribution Realty Group LLC in Chicago in 2013 focused on the acquisition and development of premiere industrial properties in the central United States. His company has developed Remington Lakes VII, a 219,040 square foot Class A distribution facility, and, Veteran Lakes Business Park, a 3-building Class A distribution park, both in Bolingbrook. James started as an industrial broker for Colliers International in Nashville, TN before moving to Chicago to gain experience in investments and acquisitions with CBRE and Brennan Investment Group. James is a member of the national NAIOP Developing Leaders III Forum and the NAIOP Industrial Trends Task Force.
Christine Choi Moore joined John Hancock Real Estate in August of 2013. As Leasing Manager, she is responsible for the leasing of the Midwest Region portfolio, including 23 properties and 6.1 MSF. Her expertise and scope includes downtown and suburban office, industrial and retail properties. Christine is currently serving as President of the NAIOP Chicago Developing Leaders Board of Directors and is the founder and president of IWIRE, an organization for Chicago’s industrial women in real estate.
The Developing Leaders Award, established in 2006, has been given to rising industry professionals from across NAIOP’s chapter network in all sectors of commercial real estate. Chicago has had four previous winners including current Chapter Board President, Dan McCarthy, JLL; and, current Board Members, Fred Regnery, Colliers International and Ryan O’Leary, Duke Realty. This year’s winners will be honored during the keynote luncheon on October 14th during NAIOP’s Commercial Real Estate Conference 2015.
