Steve Schnur joined CRG as Chief Operating Officer in April 2023. In his role, Schnur helps guide the firm’s strategic growth and continued expansion of its real estate development and investment activities across North America.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership team, Schnur is at the helm of leveraging CRG’s impressive legacy – one that has seen the development of over $14 billion in assets, 12,500 acres, and 220 million square feet since 1993. He has also been pivotal in driving the firm’s vision of delivering exceptional industrial, multifamily, student housing, and mixed-use projects nationwide.

Steve previously served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Duke Realty. During his nearly 20-year career with Duke Realty, he was heavily involved in the development, leasing, and property management operations of the firm’s 160 million-square-foot logistics portfolio across 19 major markets. Schnur was also responsible for identifying and pursuing new development opportunities, paving the way for over $5 billion in industrial development.

In addition to being recognized as an industry leader, Schnur is well-known for going beyond the status quo. Schnur serves on the board of the American Red Cross Indiana Chapter, participates in the Northwestern Athletes’ Mentoring Program, and is a member of SIOR and NAIOP. Additionally, he was named to Crain’s Chicago Business “40 Under 40” list in 2008 and the Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate “Hall of Fame” in 2016.

Steve holds a Masters Degree in Marketing and a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Behavior Studies from Northwestern University.

Susan Bergdoll (Moderator)

Susan Bergdoll joined CRG in August 2023 and serves as the Senior Vice President & Partner for CRG’s Midwest Region, leveraging an incredible 25+ year career in commercial real estate.
Throughout her remarkable career, Susan’s leadership at Duke Realty Corporation stands out as she led the Central Region team to manage an expansive portfolio of 39.2 million square feet. This achievement established Duke Realty’s Central Region’s notable success and underscores her prowess as an industrial real estate leader.
During her tenure at Duke, Susan showcased her capacity in various facets of the industry. She annually steered the development of $150-$250 million of speculative and build-to-suit pipeline. Her strategic acumen was evident in spearheading land acquisition and site selection, ensuring a steady stream of development opportunities. Susan’s direction of high-profile Chicago transactions further highlights her mark on the industry. These developments, valued at over $655M, included notable collaborations with industry giants such as Home Depot, Wayfair, and Amazon.
Susan was a five-time recipient of the coveted Duke Realty’s Masters Club award, clinched the title of Duke Salesperson of the Year, and won the Chicago NAIOP Deal of the Year in 2021.
Susan served as the NAIOP Chicago Chapter President in 2022 and has been an essential part of their Executive Board for five years. Additionally, she has advised the iWire Board for half a decade and remains an active member of Crew Chicago and AIRE Chicago.
