NAIOP Chicago ensures our collective voice is heard among our local governmental leaders and elected officials in Springfield. We retain one of Illinois’ most well regarded lobbyists, Steve Morrill of  Morrill & Associates to accurately communicate the significant impact our industry makes on the economy of Illinois.

Our Legislative Committee goals through 2010 include:

• Working with Steve Morrill to proactively create an Illinois State Legislative Agenda for the Chicago Chapter of NAIOP.
• Tracking ‘pro’ and ‘anti’ business legislation in Springfield and organizing NAIOP member responses and correspondence to members of the General Assembly.
• Organizing annual NAIOP Chicago Advocacy Day in Springfield.
• Meeting with members of the General Assembly to promote NAIOP’s position on pieces of legislation.
• Organizing and promoting quarterly meetings with elected officials for our members.
